This project explores the dialectical relationship between completeness and fragmentation, inspired by my reflections on memory and time in 2024. Using pinhole photography with long exposures, I captured the shifting light over hours, tearing and reassembling photographic paper to represent how memory is reconstructed. The torn edges and unexpected results emphasize imperfection.
By blending digital and analog techniques through scanning, I challenged the idea of photography as simply “capturing moments,” focusing on the materiality of the process.
Through this project, I aim to show how memory and time are never linear but constantly in a state of reconstruction and fragmentation, much like the reassembled images that remain incomplete yet whole.
